Cookie policy

What we use

Nothing on your device. The code of this site sets no cookies, loads no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking, and writes nothing to local storage or session storage. Nothing is asked of you to store, which is why you are never interrupted to answer for it. Separately from the application, the infrastructure serving these pages keeps the ordinary request metadata any web server keeps: hosting and security records, not a measurement product.

Why you are never asked to choose

A row of switches would be theatre when there is nothing behind them to switch off. For how this site behaves today there is no choice to record, so we do not interrupt you to make one.

The enquiry form

While you fill the form in, your answers stay in the page — held in the memory of the open tab, written to no cookie, no local storage and no session storage, and gone when you close it. What happens when you press the button depends on how this site is deployed, and the button is labelled for whichever one applies. Where an enquiry handler is configured, the answers are sent to it from your browser over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the form reports success only when that handler accepts them. Where none is configured, the form hands a pre-filled message to your own mail application instead: your own mail account sends it, and nothing reaches RoofPruf until you press Send there.

The map on the contact page

The contact page shows a static panel with our address and a "Show map" button. Nothing is requested from OpenStreetMap until you press it. If you do, the map is loaded from openstreetmap.org and their terms and privacy policy apply to that request.

If this ever changes

Optional cookies, analytics or embedded tracking would require your consent before anything was set. Were we to introduce any of it, this policy would be updated and a consent mechanism added first — not afterwards.
